Interstate Adventures: Searchlight, Nevada

This month’s interstate adventures took our Marketing Manager, Savanna Vandenheuvel, to the charming little town of Searchlight, Nevada! Nestled off Highway 95 between Interstate 40 and Interstate 11, this small but welcoming stop offers travelers more than just a place to refuel.

Despite its modest population of just 445 residents as of the 2020 Census, Searchlight has plenty to offer. Road trippers will appreciate its super clean gas station restrooms, and if you’re craving a bite to eat, you can grab a meal at one of the local restaurants—including a Denny’s with a casino inside! Need a place to rest for the night? Searchlight has hotels and lodging available, making it a great place to rest and recharge before hitting the road again.

One of the most interesting things about driving through Searchlight is the rapid speed limit changes. Within just one mile, the speed limit drops from 75 mph to 55, then to 35, and finally down to 25 mph through the entire town. So, if you’re cruising through, pay close attention to your speed!

Whether you’re passing through or making a stop, Searchlight is a quirky little town worth the visit!
