Trevor Sampson

Insurance Agent

Hi there! I’m Trevor Sampson, and I’m thrilled to be part of The Insurance Store team. My journey began at Utah State University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with a focus on human resources, along with minors in entrepreneurship and marketing. While at Utah State, I was introduced to TIS and joined the Special Ops team, quickly advancing to HSR. After exploring opportunities elsewhere to gain broader industry experience and build carrier relationships, I realized how much I missed TIS and the bright future I could see here. So, I came back, bringing fresh skills and perspectives to contribute to our success.

I’ve always had a passion for volleyball. In high school, I was a state champion, All-State MVP, and team captain, and I even played a role in helping boys’ volleyball become a sanctioned high school sport in Utah. My love for the game carried into college, where I captained the men’s volleyball teams at the University of Utah and Utah State. I also supported NCAA women’s teams at both universities as a manager and practice player.

I’m driven by a desire to help others. Whether it’s a colleague, client, or friend, I strive to leave every interaction better than I found it. I also have a competitive mindset that keeps me pushing to achieve personal and professional goals, always working to become the best version of myself. My ultimate goal is to be a leader—someone others can look up to and rely on, regardless of my job title.

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and my family means the world to me. My parents, David and Kristen, are empty nesters living in Southern Utah, and my dad and I often bond over our shared love for volleyball. I’m the third of four siblings, with two nieces and two nephews who think I’m the “funcle” because I’m always ready to play games and have fun with them.

Outside of work, I’m all about staying active. You can usually find me hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, golfing, or playing volleyball. I also make time for the gym regularly to stay fit and energized. Lastly, if you see me with a frozen Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and an energy drink in hand—you know I’m living my best life!
